I’ve never owned a pair of loafers until now. They’re a type of shoe I’ve liked on others but for whatever reason when the perspective changes and I look down at my feet they seem quite … dainty. Well, I found a pair of bench made English tassel loafers for $11.99 so I’m going to finally try loafers.
I just got my jeans back from the shop after blowing out the crotch. My state of confusion as to what to wear on the weekend while these were out of commission cannot be overstated.

I had a pretty casual Monday.
The most addicting thing about thrifting (for me) is I never have a clue what is going to turn up. It’s often a total bust but the randomized rewards remind me of Shankar Vedantam’s article describing parenting.
I bought this cardigan over 2 years ago at a charitable thrift store. It still had tags on, from some European boutique store. At that time Carhartt WIP wasn’t carried in the states, but it was somehow mixed in with the sea of Old Navy, Merona, and dust in a Chicago thrift store.
